You just bring the marriage licence!
COVID SOCIAL DISTANCING AT MARRIAGE CEREMONIES
In this time of required social distancing, given the public health emergency declared by the government, the couple and two witnesses must all be in the presence of the marriage commissioner when the ceremony is being performed. Please ensure that no one has traveled in the past 14 days, no one is ill plus we must maintain 2 meters from each other during the ceremony and signing of the licence.
SERVICE BOOKING FEES
To secure your wedding date and time, a $150 deposit is required. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the wedding day by e-transfer or cash. Gratuity is not required but always appreciated.
1) WEDDING CEREMONIES
We start with a pre-wedding consultation in person or by Zoom to commence working together as a team via email/phone/online conferencing to customize your unique ceremony. Ideally, we would meet 4-6 weeks before the wedding day to discuss all your options designed to be fun and will eliminate stress! We decide on your choice of symbolic ceremonies and rituals, your love story, poems/readings including family blending ceremonies. I assist with writing vows (if needed) and officiate the Marriage Ceremony the day of the wedding. I submit your Marriage Licence to Alberta Vital Statistics and you apply for your Marriage Certificate at any Registry 2-3 weeks after the wedding. I follow-up with couples after the Wedding Day for any further assistance.
2) VOW RENEWALS
Small, intimate vow ceremonies do not require an in-person consultation with Sharon in advance. Includes the creation of a ceremony that matches the couple wishes plus assistance with vow writing (if needed). I officiate your wedding day.
3) ELOPEMENT CEREMONY, DESTINATION WEDDINGS
This is not a ceremony but the legal signing of documents to "lets just make it legal" that takes around five minutes to complete. There are no vows, no ring ceremony and no guests except two witnesses. This service does not require an in-person consultation with Sharon in advance. Includes your wedding day officiating and your Marriage Statement. The documents are then submitted to Alberta Vital Statistics.
